Artist Statement: “We all carry the memories of our ancestors, whether we are land, water, plant, or creature. Atticus and I often sit outdoors, thinking of those whose bones we walk on, those who’ve disappeared from the sea and hillsides, those whose genes are present in our eyes and fur and fingers, and we are silenced by the magnitude of it all.”
