Title: Heart of Yachats
Artist Statement: “Like last year’s banner, I just was craving bright and vivid color once again, so I decided to really lean into playing with gradients. Giant Pacific Octopus is my favorite animal, and once I started painting the tentacle, I reflected on the theme this year and decided it had to be holding the gem-toned heart of Yachats. Yachats to me has always been the place where I can let my heart just be, where it always feels at home and accepted.”
