This year’s Banner Silent Auction and Artists’ Reception will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 pm on Sunday, October 9th in the Yachats Commons Multi-purpose room. The event is an opportunity to honor the 36 artists who volunteered to contribute their artwork to the project. The Banners are hung from late Spring through Labor Day to help beautify the town and mark Yachats as a community that appreciates art and culture. As you may know, many of the banners were damaged in a rain and windstorm in late May. At that time, all of the banners were taken down to prevent further damage. Some of the artists have graciously repainted their banners and they will be auctioned. Because of the storm, there will be a more limited selection, so plan to arrive early and bid often. Bidding closes at 6:30 pm.
